Humid Blues

Happy Monday, lovelies.

We're still dry as dust here in the Great Lake State...except that it feels less like dust and more like a rainforest. It's another one of those days when you wake up with your hair sticking to your neck. Ick.

So, grab yourself an iced coffee and slip into something light and breezy to battle the Humid Blues.
I'm in love with these airy items these days:

humid afternoon

While not everyone may be a fan of crop tops, pairing it with a higher-waisted skirt can ease any belly-bearing worries. And when the sun is relentless, it's a must to slip into something in natural and pastel hues like peach, tan, and ocean blue.

I couldn't resist including my all-time favorite scent: Estée Lauder's Bronze Goddess. I first bought a bottle back in 2006 when it was the limited edition Azurée Soleil that Tom Ford had directed. Unfortunately Azurée Soleil was discontinued when Ford's contract with them expired, but Estée Lauder wouldn't let a successful product languish, so they developed a similar scent, Bronze Goddess. I'd be hard-pressed to tell a distinct difference between the two—they both evoke the feeling of being on the coast, with a hint of white floral, soft woody notes, and a touch of coconut. One whiff and you're standing on sandy shores...and in my case, it's Lake Michigan (the greatest lake in the States).  ♥
